In addition to general care, we offer specialized services for children and young people who have learning disabilities, are autistic, have physical disabilities, or require nursing care in their own homes. How does it work?
At Healthcare 1st Choice Ltd, accessing our Children & Young People’s Domiciliary Care Services begins with a comprehensive assessment by a social worker to identify the need for our services. If a child or young person meets the criteria for support, their social worker will refer them to us, providing the specific care details required.
Upon confirmation of our capacity to provide care, we collaborate with Social Services to contact the family and schedule a home visit. During this visit, we complete all necessary paperwork and craft a detailed care plan tailored to meet the individual needs of the child or young person. We discuss and agree on the times and days of care provision with the family, setting a start date that suits their schedule.
A Domiciliary Care worker, chosen based on the required competencies for the specific needs of the child, will be introduced to the family prior to starting care. This ensures a smooth transition and comfortable beginning for both the child and their family.
Our trained staff provide vital support for children and young people aged 0-18 in their own homes, assisting with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and eating, as well as preparation for school or college, and relaxation at home. We also offer respite services to give parents a necessary break. Healthcare 1st Choice Ltd’s Children’s services are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently met.
